Sex Offender can move home.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A recent Indiana Supreme Court ruling means a convicted child molester in Lafayette can quit sleeping at a motel. Robert Rawles wasn't able to sleep at home for two years because a 2006 law prohibited sex offenders from living within 1,000 feet of schools, public parks or youth program centers. However, prosecutors have told the 54-year-old Rawles he could move home because of an Indiana Supreme Court opinion in another case. The court ruled the residency restrictions can't be imposed against people who owned their homes before the law took effect. Rawles was one of 28 Tippecanoe County sex offenders told to move when local authorities began enforcing the residency law in 2007. One other has been allowed to move back home.
